ULTRA VIOLET NEON PLANET
Short Archival Documentary

October 2023

A shared voice with no words. Ultra Violet Neon Planet is a film documenting the cultural origins of bleep, a sub-genre of house and techno  developed in Sheffield, Leeds and Bradford in the late 1980s. Using a mixture of archival film provided by Memory Dance, the documentary explores the transatlantic connection between South Yorkshire and the midwestern cities of Chicago and Detroit, unravelling the subconscious influences that shaped the sound of bleep.
